Ingredients
- 2 lbs Fish
- Lemon
- salt
Marination
- 1 tsp salt or to taste
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp chaat masala
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
- 8-10 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp vinegar
Coating
- 1 cup Gram flour besan
- 1 tbsp rice flour
- 1/2 tbsp corn flour
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp carom seeds ajwain
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp red crushed chili
- 1 tsp paprika podwer
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions
Prepare the fish
- Cut fish into pieces.
- Squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle salt over the fish
- Let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Rinse with water and pat dry.
For marination:
- Blend garlic and all the spices.
- Coat the fish with the mixture.
- Marinate for 2-3 hours or overnight.
Coating Mixture
- Mix gram flour, rice flour, corn flour, and spices with water to make a smooth paste.
- Dip the marinated fish in the paste.
- Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy.
