Crispy Fried Fish Fingers

Super tasty & crispy fried fish fingers.Homemade fish fingers are crispy from the outside and juicy from the inside. These fish fingers are incredible, and SO EASY to make!

Crispy Fried Fish Fingers

These Homemade Crispy Fish Fingers are a delicious appetizer where batons of boneless fish are mixed with a spicy seasoning, coated with flour and egg, and deep-fried until crispy and golden brown. You can easily bake or air fry them for a healthier version.

Ingredients
  

  • 800 grams Fish (boneless)
  • 3 tbsp Vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Red rushed pepper
  • 1 tsp Red chilli powder or to taste
  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 3 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour
  • 1 Egg
  • Breadcrumbs as required
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Cut the fish into strips.
  • In a bowl add fish, water, vinegar and salt. Leave it for 10 mins. Then drain the water and pat dry the fish completely using paper towel.
  • Transfer the fish fingers into another bowl and add all the spices.
  • Marinate the fish for at least 1-2 hours in a refrigerator.
  • Coat the fish fingers with bread crumbs.
  • Deep fry: Heat oil in a pan, and fry the fish on medium heat for 3-4 mins or until golden.
  • Baking: Transfer to baking tray. Spray with oil, bake 13 minutes or until crispy on the outside.
  • Sprinkle chaat masala and lemon juice and enjoy.

Notes

Storage: either bake immediately once assembled OR freeze immediately raw then deep fry/bake from frozen, (15 mins for baking). Cooked fish fingers don’t keep that well because crumb goes soggy and because they are so small, they don’t reheat well in the oven (inside tends to dry out).
Baking: Preheat oevn to 220°C / 425°F. Spray tray with oil.
