Tasty Chicken Tikka

Ingredients
  

First Marinade:

  • 2.5 lbs Boneless chicken thigh or breast
  • 2 tbsp Ginget garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Mustard paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Food color
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar

Second Marinade

  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Roast & crushed cumin
  • 1 tsp Chaat masala
  • 1/2 tsp Crushed red chili
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder or to taste
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

Step 1: Marinate the Chicken (First Marinade)

  • In a bowl, mix ginger garlic paste, mustard, salt, food color, and vinegar.
  • Add the chicken pieces and coat them well.
  • Cover and keep in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Step 2: Add Spices (Second Marinade)

  • Mix coriander powder, cumin, chaat masala, crushed red pepper, chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • Add this spice mixture to the chicken and coat well.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours or overnight.

Step 3: Cook the Chicken

  • Heat a pan over medium heat and place the chicken pieces in the pan and cook each side for 4-5 minutes. Don't overcook the chicken to keep it soft and juicy.

Step 4: Add BBQ Flavor (Optional)

  • Heat a piece of coal, and place it in a small foil cup inside the pan with the chicken.
  • Drizzle a few drops of oil on the coal and cover with a lid for 5 minutes.
