Dough (Atta) Recipe Using Mixer
Ingredients
- 2 cups Whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups Warm water
- 1 tbsp Oil
- Salt (optional)
Instructions
- Start by placing the whole wheat flour in the bowl of your mixer.
- Use the dough hook attachment.
- Add oil, salt (optional) and turn the mixer on low speed (stir or 1) to begin mixing the flour.
- Slowly pour in the water, starting with 1 cup and adding more as needed until the dough comes together and is no longer dry and crumbly.
- Increase the speed of the mixer to medium (no. 4) and let it knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes, or until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.
- In the end, move the speed to no. 6 for a min and at this point the dough should no longer stick to the sides of the bowl.
- Once the dough is kneaded, remove it from the mixer and transfer it into an airtight container.
- Let it rest for at least 10-15 minutes before rolling it out.
