- Food color (¼ tsp)
- Dried plums (10-12)

- Turmeric (½ tsp)
- Red chili powder (1 ½ tsp or to taste)
- Red crushed pepper (1 tbsp or to taste)
- Coriander powder (1 tbsp)
- Cumin powder (1 tbsp)
- Cumin seeds (1 tbsp)
- Garam masala (½ tsp)
- Fennel seeds (1 tbsp)
- Black cardamoms (3)
- Black pepper (12-14)
- Cloves (8)
- Star anise (1)
✨For Rice:
- Rice, soaked for 30 minutes (4 cups or 800 g)
- Whole green chilies (2-3)
- Vinegar 2 tbsp
✨For Garnishing:
- Green chilies, sliced
- Fresh mint leaves
- Lemon, thinly sliced
- Fried onions (½ cup)
✨Instructions
✨Chicken Masala:
- Heat oil and fry onions until golden.
- Add whole spices and sauté for a minute.
- Add chicken and fry until it changes color.
- Mix in ginger garlic paste, tomatoes, yogurt, and all powdered spices.
- Cook until chicken is tender and oil separates.
- Add dried plums and dried mint. Set aside.
✨Cooking the Rice:
- Boil water with salt, whole spices, and green chilies.
- Add soaked rice and cook until 80% done. Drain and set aside.
