Print Recipe Share on Facebook Share by Email Pin Recipe Course Main Course Ingredients 1.5 lbs Chicken1/2 cup OilOnions sliced 250 g1 Tomato1 cup Yogurt whisked & at room temperature1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste1/2 tsp Turmeric powder1/2 tsp Red chili powder or to taste1/2 tbsp Coriander powder1/2 tsp Paprika Instructions Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onions and fry until they turn light golden.Then add little water, add all the spices and ginger garlic paste. Cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes.Add chopped tomatoes, cover and cook for 5-7 mins to soften the tomatoes. Add little water if the masala is too dry.Next add chicken, and fry on high heat for few mins.Bring the heat to lowest setting, add whisked yogurt. Yogurt should be at room temperature. Mix until yogurt gets combined in the masala.Turn the heat high and cook the chicken. Cover and cook until chicken is done. Video Notes Oil should be well heated when you add sliced onions. You may blend the onions when they turn golden and tomatoes together, if you want. (its optional) Use room temerature yogurt. Whisk the yogurt well.
