Mutton

Balti Gosht

Ingredients:

  • Oil 1/4 Cup
  • Mutton (Goat meat) 1/2 Kg
  • Coriander Seeds 1/2 Tsp
  • Cumin Seeds 1/2 Tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1/2 Tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder (Haldi) 1/4 Tsp
  • Crushed Red Chili 1/2 Tsp
  • Red Chili Powder 1/4 Tsp
  • Black Pepper Powder 1/4 Tsp
  • Salt 1/2 Tbsp or to Taste
  • Tomatoes Chopped 4-5
  • Green Chillies 2
  • Ginger 1 Tbsp Julienne cut

Instructions:

  • Dry roast cumin seeds and coriander seeds till changes color. Coarse grind and keep aside.
  • Add oil in a pan, fry the meat for 10 mins on high flame.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, cook (bhonofy) for another 5 mins. Add the Turmeric, crushed red chillies red chilli powder, black pepper powder and salt.
  • Mix all the spices and cook for another 10 mins on high flame. Cover and cook
  • Add chopped tomatoes, green chillies and cook.
  • Add water, cover and cook on low-medium heat till the oil comes on the surface and meat is cooked completely.
  • Now add the dry roasted and crushed spices and mix.
  • Garnish with coriander, green chilies, ginger and serve with naan, roti or chawal.
