Balti Gosht
Ingredients:
- Oil 1/4 Cup
- Mutton (Goat meat) 1/2 Kg
- Coriander Seeds 1/2 Tsp
- Cumin Seeds 1/2 Tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste 1/2 Tbsp
- Turmeric Powder (Haldi) 1/4 Tsp
- Crushed Red Chili 1/2 Tsp
- Red Chili Powder 1/4 Tsp
- Black Pepper Powder 1/4 Tsp
- Salt 1/2 Tbsp or to Taste
- Tomatoes Chopped 4-5
- Green Chillies 2
- Ginger 1 Tbsp Julienne cut
Instructions:
- Dry roast cumin seeds and coriander seeds till changes color. Coarse grind and keep aside.
- Add oil in a pan, fry the meat for 10 mins on high flame.
- Add ginger garlic paste, cook (bhonofy) for another 5 mins. Add the Turmeric, crushed red chillies red chilli powder, black pepper powder and salt.
- Mix all the spices and cook for another 10 mins on high flame. Cover and cook
- Add chopped tomatoes, green chillies and cook.
- Add water, cover and cook on low-medium heat till the oil comes on the surface and meat is cooked completely.
- Now add the dry roasted and crushed spices and mix.
- Garnish with coriander, green chilies, ginger and serve with naan, roti or chawal.
