Heat oil in a pan. Add sliced onions and fry until they turn light golden.
Then add little water, add all the spices and ginger garlic paste. Cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
Add chopped tomatoes, cover and cook for 5-7 mins to soften the tomatoes. Add little water if the masala is too dry.
Next add chicken, and fry on high heat for few mins.
Bring the heat to lowest setting, add whisked yogurt. Yogurt should be at room temperature. Mix until yogurt gets combined in the masala.
Turn the heat high and cook the chicken. Cover and cook until chicken is done.
